Mbarara-Katuna-Kigali Road

On 23rd December, the re-construction of the Mbarara-Katuna-Kigali Road commenced.Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame and his Ugandan counter-part Yoweri Museveni officiated at the ground breaking ceremony of the project which is funded by a grant from the European Union to a tune of 160 million Euros.  The road 201km  of the vital Northern Corridor route,  links the economies of East Africa and the Great Lakes region with the Indian Ocean.

    But the place looks not cool..the house looks old…what that red flag in the middle?

    • Mr Don The Economist that’s the border post at Katuna. It has not been refurbished in a long time but the government has put aside some money and re-construction of the buildings at the border will commence soon(so i heard)
